Information Needed to Bid Sheet Metal Shop Drawings

  1. Complete set of latest mechanical (HVAC) and architectural drawings. Please note that the minimum requirement for bidding is the complete set of the latest mechanical drawings.
  2. Complete copy of the latest Division 15 specifications if possible. (General requirements and sheet metal related sections are a minimum.) Also needed is the latest Division 1 general requirements section.
  3. If building background computer drawing files will be available, this information should be known at bid time. The bid can be made contingent on this information not being available with a deductive alternate offered if these files become available. It is always cheaper not to have to redo the work of producing a building footprint.
  4. List of all equipment that you are required to install whether 100% or 50/50.
  5. Preferred sheet sizes and scales for your drawings.
  6. Prioritized list of drawing production needs with target dates and/or absolute need dates.
  7. Any other information on the unique requirements of this job or your company.
  8. Date, time, and method of bid submittal.
  9. Your preference regarding the method of plotting the drawings must be known. Unless specified otherwise, Internet transfer of the drawing files to your local blueprint company for plotting is assumed.

  1. Complete set of the latest drawings and details pertaining to the proposed work.
  2. Complete copy of the latest specification sections pertaining to the proposed work
  3. If building background computer drawing files will be available, this information should be known at bid time. The bid can be made contingent on this information not being available with a deductive alternate offered if these files become available. It is always cheaper not to have to redo the work of producing a building footprint or applicable sections.
  4. Written scope of work for this proposal.
  5. Preferred sheet sizes and scales for your drawings.
  6. Prioritized list of drawing production needs with target dates and/or absolute need dates.
  7. Any other information on the unique requirements of this job or your company.
